大家好！ My name is Nora Di Martino. I am a rising sophomore at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart and I live in Kensington, Maryland.
I became involved in advocacy and action following the 2016 U.S. elections. This event made it very apparent to me of all the work on gender-equality that still had to be done, and that I wanted to be a part of doing it. Living near Washington, D.C., I am privileged to be in attendance at many protests including the March for Science, Women’s March on Washington, and the March for Our Lives. I have grown in my understanding of others and passion for change by participating in Allies club, leading Feminism club, and through my schools social action program. Outside of school, I have spent the past two years working with a local organization, Girls up, to empower young girls and give back to my community.
In addition to activism, I am passionate about running with my cross country friends, live music, and travel.
I am so excited to start working with my fellow Teen Advisors! This year, my hopes are that I can contribute to the effort for global gender-equality and help make it a reality.
