Hello! I’m Lindsay, a senior at Quincy High School in Quincy, Massachusetts.
I love being busy. Besides finishing up my Gold Award project for Girl Scouts, I am a Relay for Life team captain and I volunteer at Hope Lodge. I am also an ANNpower Fellow and was lucky enough to attend the ANNpower Vital Voices leadership forum in April 2013 to learn leadership skills from incredible mentors.
I am the president and founder of my school’s Model UN club. I am on my school’s Student Council, and have served as Community Service Chair, Executive Board Treasurer, and School Committee Liaison. I am interested in policy and governance, and am currently interning at the State House in my Representative’s office. In my future, I would love to run for office someday or work for a non-profit for girls education and empowerment.
I was interested in becoming a Girl Up Teen Advisor because I love being an advocate for girls around the world. Growing up, as the youngest of four girls, I was always taught that girls can do anything. I want to make sure that girls around the world can learn that, too, and have the same opportunities for success that I had. I’m passionate about gender equality and want to see more women becoming leaders in government and the business world. That all starts with empowering girls, and that’s why I am passionate about Girl Up.
