Mohammed Farshori is a diversity leader, recognized for his passion for inclusion, diversity and community engagement. He has successfully led award winning employee resource groups at local and national levels and his efforts have been instrumental in taking nonprofits in the US to new heights. A five-time winner of the U.S President’s Volunteer Service Award, In his day job, Mohammed is Director – Citizenship & Sustainability at AT&T, responsible for managing, building and expanding community engagement efforts. He is also the Immediate past President of the India Association of North Texas (IANT is one of the oldest Asian Indian organization in the country established in 1962), Director – Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce and Trustee NASIM Foundation. In addition, Mohammed also serves as Director Muslim Community Center for Human Services that provides free medical care to the underprivileged population of North Texas.
In the past, Mohammed has also served as the National President – Organization of Asian Indians at AT&T, Vice Chairman Mahatma Gandhi Memorial North Texas and Community Relations & Scholarship Chair – Women of AT&T (Dallas Chapter). Mohammed currently lives in Plano, TX with his wife Amra and their two children Ibrahim and Amina.
