Angélica Fuentes is one of Latin America’s most influential women. As one of Mexico’s most powerful business leaders, Angélica is committed to empowering women around the world.
Angélica is the CEO and shareholder of Grupo Omnilife Angelissima Chivas. Prior to that, she was CEO of Mexican energy firm Grupo Imperial Corporativo and served as President of the Mexican Natural Gas Association and of the Business Energy Network of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Agreement (APEC).
Throughout her career, Angélica has been recognized as one of Latin America’s most powerful women, receiving theInnovative Woman and Outstanding Leadership award from the President-elect of Chile, Michelle Bachelet.
Philanthropy is central to Angélica’s work. She is involved with and takes an active role in the American Business Council (ABC), UN Foundation, Aid for Aids International, and many other organizations.
For more than 25 years, Angélica has been involved in women’s empowerment around the globe, launching the beauty line Angelíssima. Angélica also co-chairs the Mexico Gender Parity Taskforce, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
Angélica has traveled with Girl Up to Guatemala twice, in 2013 and again in 2014, to understand more about the situation facing adolescent girls and to learn from the UN programs that serve them.
In her role as a Global Advocate, Angélica is focused on supporting United Nations programs in Latin America that help some of the world’s hardest-to-reach adolescent girls. “Girls everywhere are strong, they are capable, and they will determine our future. It is our responsibility to help them fulfill their dreams,” Angélica said.
